Darius Miles - worked out for the Nets, along with the Suns and Celtics. No word on how he looked. His microfracture was reportedly on the level of Penny Hardaways...and even if he is signed, he misses the first 10 games of the year due to a drug suspension. (Portland Tribune)

Kwame Brown - Worked out for the Hawks, looked good says Mike Woodson, and comes back to Atlanta today for a meeting on whether he really wants to join the team. He is from Atlanta. (Atlanta Journal-Constitution)

Keyon Dooling - No team on the horizon for him, and as players get picked up and cap space disappears, not so sure he will go elsewhere. Supposedly he and Frank have a good relationship.

Kareem Rush - not a peep.

Kwame Brown is not from Atlanta, hes from Brunswick, GA....I was the program director at WSFN 790 in Brunswick when Kwame was in high school....that town was Kwame crazy....Adam Wainwright of the St Louis Cardinals was there at the same time....was a good time to be a high school sports fan in that town

    Close enough for a Yankee.

after doing a little additional research, it turns out that if proximity to his hometown is a draw, Orlando is 100miles closer than Atlanta and Charlotte is about the same distance as Atlanta....

...and that is the most concern anyone on the Nets forum will ever feel for Kwame Brown.

The most interesting thing with Miles is the potential to screw with Paul Allen and the Blazers. Miles is off their cap for medical retirement (and he isn't happy about it).

If Miles plays in 10 games in a season, all of that savings is gone and his contract goes back on the books.

watch a team do that just out o fear of the potential of the blazers w/ cap room
