So now were rebuilding w/ character in Najera and Hayes So not surprisingly Marcus looks like a lock to be dealt , probably for someone weve never heard of(or Quincy Douby) Stromile to whoever wants an expiring deal. Stro for Earl Watson makes too much sense to actually happen Maybe Stro and Marcus for Antonio Daniels. Which would save us a mil and change, enough to go after dooling So then theres Sean Williams. Hes not exactly a dick, nor is he an asshole. Hes just.....Sean. I dont know if his personality fits w/ what Najera is saying about bustin balls in practice. An athletic, young potentially devastating defensive payer has to be in high demand. We could sell our souls and deal him to Boston, SA,LA, ect. for picks, but with all our youth, are we really interested in picks in the 20's?. Maybe to GS for Belinelli But I just dont think its worth it to deal Sean, his value isnt exactly comparable to what he can become if he figures it out. Which is why its good Najera has the attitude he does. So I see Marcus and Stromile as locks, and Sean is on thin ice if he doesnt get it together a little The writing looks to be on the wall for ager as well.....
In Iannazzonnes' latest blog regarding the new guys he also has a feeling Yi will be the starter...assuming Brook's the guy at the 5, Sean maybe on the outside looking in. I look at it more from a veteran leadership perspective. Can VC be relied on for that role? Not really. I'd like to see Harris be the on court vocal leader. But I think with all the young cats they're going to need a role model to learn from, Najera seems to be that guy. As much as a I hated the length of the contract, but he is a nice bridge from now until King. Would have much rather see the final 2 seasons as a 2 year team option. Thus giving the Nets the option to cut him, if the CBA allows the Nets to bid more than the 14 million they can now.

However, if he shows the same lazy signs this year he could be gone
