Those are damn good looking, despite the fact that they're an early build.

They look pretty amazing if that's what the gameplay looks like, although something is weird about Garnett's eyes in the last pic.

These first releases will probably end up looking like trash once the final game comes out. For comparison this is what Chris Paul looked like last year

But this is what he looked like in the first release of screenshots (What you're looking at above, but for 2k8)

Still not as good as FIFA graphics IMO

When you consider what FIFA Creators have to do. Make huge stadiums to detail. Put Realistic fans in there and create so many more players compared to the NBA games,

can't wait for 2K9...sadly haven't played much of 2K8 yet have had it since release day.

and that fifa looks pretty sweet. I may have to check one of those out, the one and only fifa game I played and owned was fifa 96 back for the PS1, that's because the person selling it had it.

Yeah but 2K prides itself on gameplay, whereas EA, especially FIFA, is all about locking you into animation sequences you can't escape. FIFA 08 is one of the most frustrating games I've ever played. Lead pass is broken, tackling is broken, throw-ins are broken--the game is like a beta test.

That being said, NBA 2K8 has collected dust on my shelf since a month after it came out. That series has run out of steam.

God, I hate EA's animation sequences. NBA Live 2006 was so ridiculously repetitive because of them. Here's the strategy to guaranteed success:
Play a quick defensive outside stopper at point guard. On defense, run around and follow the ball carrier.
Have an inside scorer. Get within 15 feet of the basket. Use the hookshot superstar shot. 2 points. (With good 3 point shooters who could be inside scorers, like Kobe, Vince, Dirk, and Peja, you could do this behind the 3 point line, and make it 75% of the time).
