And looking as enthusiastic as usual, too. Good to see Byron Scott is still helping out the Nets also.

Can someone please explain this hatred towards Williams? I really like him at UCONN, is he not leveling up the NBA talent, or do you just see him as a punk?

Others have run out of hope for him. Others still were turned off by how he played early and the lack of advancement in his game. You should have seen the hype after he was drafted. There were some that were saying he'd be as good as Deron Williams

His best performances were definitely when he had the opportunity to play many minutes. However, I'm not sure that he has the discipline to ever lead a successful team. I mean, he could put up 18-5-8 every night and still lead a team to a .500 record, you know? I don't know if he is willing to focus on defense and play within a defined system instead of just free-wheeling like he was on the playground.

He was rated as the top rookie by some sports writers. Then, the NBA season started and people realized as one coach said "he couldnt guard a bank with a machine gun". I have never heard Frank call out a player like he called out Williams last year. The rap is that he doesnt focus, that he may not have the love of the game players with lesser talent have. The guy needs a change of address...preferably in the Western Conference.
Put it this way....with the trade for a young talented PG like Harris...the desperate efforts to get Dooling... Frank and Company must REALLY see a problem with Marcus. We all know the talent and ability he has. Butthere must be a deep problem(even deepr than his shoddy D). Think about the doubts and questions surrounding Boone, psychologically etc. It was often thought, that Marcus's presence and leadership would be the only shot Boone had at making an impact. Ironically, Boone is the one who has shown drive, determination, growth and success. Marcus....not so much.
I hope he has a good season. He played well when we first traded Kidd and Harris was injured. Everyone was happy for him, but he sucked ass backing up Harris. I don't know if he could be a good bench player, but I don't want him starting either. Let's just see how he performs this season.

To look like that, you'd have to make a facial expression.
