Someone posted about Brook not playing in the upcomming summer league and the first thing that jumped into my head was that he was going to be playing for Team USA. I was close on that assumtion because his brother Robin got the nod along with Kevin Love. Can we say two rookies with chips on their shoulders?
You could argue that Brook already had a chip on shoulder by falling to #10 in the draft. This should just add more fuel to the fire.
All of our rookies have chips on their shoulders. Hell our whole team has a big ass chip on their shoulders.
I'm going on record as saying i'm sick of hearing about a chip on one of our players shoulders. They should play hard regardless. This added motivation stuff is silly, a player either has drive or they don't. Luckily we drafted some young kids who look up for a challenge of cracking a pretty packed rotation.
Yeah. I mean, how long can one really be angry at not making the USA practice team. No one is holding that grudge over 3 years
I don't know why we have so many players who care what other people think of them. It's getting to a point where I feel like there almost whining and complaining they were late draft picks. once these guys prove they can play in the nba they can talk all the smack they want.
Has nothing to do with Brook, who coincidentally was in Vegas along with his older brothers to watch Robin play for the Suns. USA Basketball announced that it would choose two players from the VEGAS SUMMER LEAGUE to join the NBA Select Team that is scrimmaging against Team USA. And I am totally in agreement with Reaganomics. Enough with this chip stuff. If youre a rookie, and on an NBA roster, that should be enough motivation.
