    Nakamura defeated Ologun by submission (armbar) at 3:41 of round 1.

    * Lightweight Grand Prix bout: Shinya Aoki vs. Caol Uno
    Aoki defeated Uno by unanimous decision (3-0) at 5:00 of round 2.

    * Lightweight Grand Prix bout: Eddie Alvarez vs. Tatsuya Kawajiri
    Alvarez defeated Kawajiri by TKO (referee stoppage) at 7:35 of round 1.

    * Lightweight Grand Prix reserve bout: Joachim Hansen vs. Kultar Gill
    Hansen defeated Gill by submission (armbar) at 2:33 of round 1.

    * Featherweight bout: Joseph Benavidez vs. Junya Kudo
    Benavidez defeated Kudo by submission (guillotine choke) at 2:42 of round 1.

    * Welterweight bout: Motoki Miyazawa vs. Kuniyoshi Hironaka
    Hironaka defeated Miyazawa by TKO (medical stoppage due to cut) at 8:57 of round 1.

    * Featherweight bout:Hideo Tokoro vs. Takeshi Yamazaki
    Tokoro defeated Yamazaki by unanimous decision (3-0) at the end of round 2.

    * Middleweight bout: Yoshihiro Akiyama vs. Katsuyori Shibata
    Akiyama defeated Shibata by submission (Ezekiel Choke) at 6:34 of round 1.

    * Heavyweight bout: Alistair Overeem vs. Mark Hunt
    Overeem defeated Hunt by submission (armbar) at 1:11 of round 1.

    * Lightweight Championship bout: Shinya Aoki vs. Joachim Hansen
    Hansen defeated Aoki by TKO at 4:19 round 1 to become the first DREAM Lightweight Champion.

    Alvarez advanced to the GP finals but had a swollen eye and doctors deamed it too dangerous to fight.
    Alvarez told the commentators he pleased to let him fight as Aoki is a ground fighter, but it was a no go.

    Joachim Hansen won the alternate fight and thus moved into the finals of the GP and beat Aoki, who was considered by many to be the #1 or #2 LW in the world.

    IMO BJ and Gomi are still #1 and #2, but Aoki is just below them.
    Huge win for Hansen who has had his ups and downs.

    I love it because I love Hansen.. I soooo want to see him in the UFC.
