Anthony Johnson was poked in the eye no less than five times by Kevin "The Fire" Burns on Saturday night. Burns was warned twice by the referee.

The final time Burns poked Johnson, AJ couldn't continue and tapped-out. Below is a picture taken on Sunday of AJ's eye.

Burns says he can't throw a fist with his hand because he's broken it too many times, but open-palm strikes are typically not allowed anyways.

Do you think the ruling of the fight should stand? Was AJ looking for a way out of a fight he was losing? Was it a blatant disqualification?

looking at that pic definite DQ. The replay showed Kevin Burns hit him in the eye at the end.

Decision should stand, and I honestly thought the last one was accidental.

Its UFC's fault for letting Burns fight with a fist like that.

Ref made the wrong call, it should be a no contest rather than a full reversal.

Mazegatti thought it was the blow that dropped him but obviously found out that wasn't the case.
The fact that he conferred with officials and they came to such a abusrd conclusion is sad IMO.

I cannot help but applaud the classy way Johnson handled himself and I hope Dana noticed it too.

Johnson was really mature. I'm sure training with a disciplined guy like Cung Le does wonders for your attitude. But if I were him, I would file a protest. That shouldn't count as a loss against his record.

For one, no way on earth Anthony Johnson was loosing that fight. He rocked Burn's quite a few times, was in the more dominant position's throughout the fight, and in my opinion was just winning that fight easily. No way he faked it, because he was winning, and because look at his eye now. Plus look at how he kept his eye closed after the whole thing happened.

I know Burn's didn't mean to, but that decision at the very least should have been ruled a no-contest. No way on earth that they should have allowed Burn's to get a win, and Johnson a loss off of that with how Johnson was winning the fight, and the ref repeatedly had to warn Burn's about him poking Johnson in the eye's. That was the worse decision I have honostly ever seen, totally unfair to Johnson to put that on his record.

Ref made the wrong call. It was clear as day.

Johnson is a class act. He got the W.

Well I think even Joe Rogan pointed out that Burns hit him in the eye, and that the last punch missed.
