Talk about full of shit. You are transparently insecure about your own intellect and communicative abilities, and that's why you manufacture opportunities to demean and insult the intelligence of virtually every poster at this forum at some time or other, especially those with demonstrated intellectual, analytic, and verbal acumen, from guys like netted and dumpy right down the line. Your usual guise is stating that some idea or opinion put forth by the individual is "hysterical", "laughable", "idiotic", "ridiculous", all while mindful that that is the substantive equivalent of telling the person that he/she is dumb, idiotic, hysterical, or laughably foolish for espousing those ideas. Your other "go to" move entails authoritative, summary declarations of another's lack of logic and the gratuity of a piss-poor analogy (as though your edict of illogic makes it so). You do this even within threads where you flex your administrator muscles to chastise or threaten sanctions against members who attack/insult other posters (albeit those who aren't accomplished enough in your subterfuge to say "your ideas are stupid" instead of "you are stupid"), marking you as a supreme hypocrite. Unfortunately your particular brand of condescension is contagious enough that it's infected others here. And I suppose its infected me as well in that this is the only forum I visit where I feel compelled to defensively engage in anything close to this kind of discourtesy. With folks like you in charge, it's no wonder the place has a stubborn stench. And make no mistake: if it weren't for the fact that I've not found an alternative Nets forum with folks the caliber of Petey, netted, reganomics, astral, dumpy, and even ghoti and the perennially sour NI (who manages to confine his real rancor to another board), I would not be here. It's the busiest virtual Nets pub that hosts anything close to meaningful team conversation, even if one of its bartenders is a total asshole. But please, PLEASE feel free to ignore me and my posts. I know that's not possible for you because you'll never get over the fact that I see through you so easily. But I heartily invite the effort.

I personally think that NI and cpaw both have done a pretty good job of dialing back the sourness the past year or so. Of course, when you go out and call them "snide, hypocritical, and insidiously insulting," then they have a tendency to, uh, fall off the wagon a bit. As far as basketball goes, regardless of how good you think Marcus actually is, I'm not sure where he's going to find minutes behind Carter, Harris and Keyon. It's a crowded backcourt, especially now that CDR is effectively gunning for Marcus' minutes (assuming Keyon is getting his 20-30 every night).
A<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>wwww, I hope I made second team.</div> LOL. The way I interpret stuff like that is to let cpaw or NI explain it to Netted, who then repeats it in terms I can follow.
Good for you FONW. I absolutely agree with you. But like you said, it is the only Nets forum active enough to have a decent conversation so we have to suck it up.

If you feel cpaw is abusive or snide, suck it up. I've been around him for years. He's probably done it to me. I can't remember a specific time. But then again, I don't get my panties in a wad over it either. Because he is a quality poster. And even if I disagree with him over something, chances are its higher quality material than most on ANY message board. And if he does get snide, chances are, I was probably asking for it. In translation: this is the internet. Posts are made. Don't take it personally. And if that doesn't work; having pictures of him.......involving a monkey, a dog, and a snake....... well, things go smoother that way too.
I refuse to mess with him because his super lumberjack sperm just keeps cranking out his own little cpaw army bent on destruction. Sheesh, even Shawn Kemp must have produced a girl at some point.

Nice back tracking.</div> No. What I said was that I taped all nationally televised games (which were a large proportion in those days) and so seized the opportunity to view THOSE games multiple times. I went to my local sports bar for years in college to watch the games available only on dish. But grasping that nuance requires attentive reading and comprehension, which are not your long suits, and God forbid that I spelled all this out concretely beforehand because that's the kind of "verbose" thing that so unnerves you and a few others in these parts. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>You are transparently insecure about your own intellect and communicative abilities,</div> Now that is the dumbest, most moronic bit of pop psychology I've ever seen. </div> The size of the reflexive reaction is proportionate to the degree of truth provoking it. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Only to the incredibly simple minded like yourself is that the equivalent. It is a universal truth that smart people have dumb ideas.</div> Ignoring for now the (presumably unintended) lunacy of what you just wrote, only someone as false and hypocritical as you would try to portray the REPEATED, HABITUAL invocation of adjectives like "dumb", "stupid", "hysterical", and "laughable" when referring to another's ideas as a response aimed solely at the inanimate ideas rather than at the person/caliber of mind producing them. That's your "who, me?" fallback, bullshit, transparent subterfuge for engaging in the kinds of insults that you then chastise others for issuing with less sophistry. If you truly separated ideas from the people propounding them -- and had no wish to offend or insult them, you would simply point out in a reasonably cordial manner the flaws in their ideas, why you disagree with them, and be done with it. Use of inherently inflammatory words like "dumb" or "silly" hinders any kind of respectful discourse and is completely unnecessary because it represents only your conclusion instead of the reasons behind your disagreement with the idea. Further, if you truly separated an idea or opinion from its author, you wouldn't feel it important to keep track of them for years (ala this ghoti thing, for instance). You wouldn't thrill to "keeping score" on ideas (i.e., crediting or debiting an opinion/idea to the person who propounded it), as you have done numerous times here in the past, most often, of course, when you can congratulate yourself for having correctly guessed that some player or other would or would not pan out or that some signing would or would not be beneficial to a particular team. If an idea has no intrinsic connection to the person propounding it, it could not remotely enhance or detract from their reputation, perceived knowledge, or standing in this community. If an idea does not convey something about the mind of the person espousing it, you couldn't possibly have come to the "hysterical" (to use your word) conclusion above that I am "simple minded". If you truly "separated an individual's posts from the individual", as you stated, then you wouldn't dislike me as intensely as I dislike you since my posts are all of me that you have known or will ever know. (And, just in case, please spare me any outright lie that you don't intensely dislike me.) So you haven't even the faintest notion, apparently, of the myriad ways you give your motives, feelings, and true intent away.
Alright, we've now crossed that threshold where can be no sign of Keyon Dooling anywhere. To the OT-mobile!

But he persisted in a course of inflammatory posting anytime he disagreed with me (and countless others), and I'm not about to refrain from pointing that out when he lifts his leg to spray more of his verbal urine towards me.
FOMW, during your time on this forum you will most definitely see someone call an idea or opinion of yours "hysterical", "laughable", "idiotic", "ridiculous." While yes, this is at heart someone opposing your view point, they're not a bad person for disagreeing with you.

All of the above apply to cpawfan's conduct here and at the predecessor forum.
