Injury Report: Boston: Aardsma, Lugo, Colon (all 15-day DL); Ortiz on DL but expected to be activated in time for Friday's game. New York: Posada, Matsui (15-day DL), Pavano, Hughes (60-day DL) I see SportsTicker is (finally ) defunct, so I'll do GOOD series threads for the Sawx forum.
I'm pumped for this. I'm pumped for Joba's start on Friday. How he performs in front of the Boston crowd will set the tone for the weekend. Go Yanks!

Yankees get the W, 1-0. Joba with the win. Beckett with the L. Absolutely great pitching duel between these two.
So far it looks like a 2-1 series win for NY, because Tim Wakefield is absolutely horrible against the Yankees. It wouldn't matter if he was up against Matt DeSalvo, let alone Andy Pettitte.
