    Lyon Ready To Tempt Eto'o

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The French champions' president believes that his club could afford to make an offer for the Barcelona forward after he was told that he is no longer wanted at Camp Nou.

If coach Claude Puel asked Aulas to sign Eto'o then he admits that he would be prepared to try and persuade the highly-rated striker to try his luck in Ligue 1.

"Samuel could have joined us from Mallorca four years ago. If he wants to come now, our coach, Claude Puel would welcome him and we have the capability to make the signing happen," the Lyon supremo told L'Equipe.

"Although I do not know whether signing a player with such a high salary would be the best thing for us or not. We have to find a certain balance.

"Everything will depend on Puel. If tomorrow he says that to win the Champions League he wants Eto'o or Drogba, then we will to try to sign them. although we would be living a bit beyond our means."

Despite being champions of France for the last seven seasons, Lyon are still seen as a selling club due to the lucrative offers they receive annually for their players.

If Eto'o were tempted by a move to the French outfit then it would be seen as a major turnaround, but he has already hinted that he wants to try and win his place back at Barça.</div>

Would be a great move by Lyon if they could get Eto'o.

    I don't think they'll get him.

I think Eto'o is staying in Barcelona. He's been playing a lot in the preseason matches.

Lyon wouldn't be a good choice for Eto'o considering that Benzema is younger, faster and a team player still on the rise. Eto'o would still be second wind, though currently he's actually rotational third or fourth at Barça. Ouch! Take that for saying "We need to win all the time or I will leave."
