    Well if I knew that my pick would be skipped and it would be to Dynasty`s disadvantage. But he actually drafted the guy I was thinking about taking anyway in Andrew Bogut.

    I'm surprised you can find the time to post in this thread!

    Right. Your opinion about this game doesn't matter because you cared so little about playing you couldn't make two picks. Why should anyone who actually wants to play listen to you?

But seriously guys how do you let a 25 year old Gerald Wallace get picked this late. He plays hard on both sides of the court, never takes plays off and is emerging as one of the top defenders. He doesn't give much less than what Butler, Carter, Igloudaga and Josh Smith give. All those guys were picked in the first round while I got Wallace 2 round later. Talk about Value</div>

    I wouldn't want Gerald Wallace leading my team, especially not late in games. Butler on the other hand, well, let's just say I most definitely want the ball in his hands down the stretch.
    </div>

    Gerald Wallace gets a bad rap for being injury prone but who has played more games in the past. Lets look at the last 2 seasons Butler has played 121 games, Wallace- 134 games.

    Also Wallace isn't my only go to guy that the stretch, I also have Amare and Josh Howard.
    </div>

    Well, I didn't mention anything about the two players health.

    And I only brought up the "down the stretch" aspect to show that is why Caron Butler is a 1st round guy and Wallace is not. Butler is money in the 4th quarter, and as a result he deserves to go in the first and can very well handle being a leader on my team.
    </div>

    Butler and Wallace both average 4.9 points in the fourth quarter.

    Lol, whatever Ghoti. F to mods who curse at members. lol

    Dynasty asked me how I thought he was doing, so I responded. jerseycarter was getting hated on for his pick, I just gave him advice (which pegs agreed on one part) and said it`s not that big of a deal even though some people get all wrapped up in it and will hate people for it. It`s just a game. Get over it.

    It was a joke. cpawfan is too good at this game and picks the good players before I can get to them.

    Forget them.

    Build your team however you want it, this is supposed to be fun.
    </div>
    Yea, Dark is right. Just build it how you want to and have fun. It would be different if you were an GM, but you can think of yourself as the owner and GM. lol

    You could make a team of your favorite 12th men, which would be spectacular! and who cares.

    If you wanted to you could have drafted say Dwight or Kobe and then traded them for Vince + a decent pick.

    </div>

    Yeah, that woulda been a good idea. Look at what lukewarmplay did: moved down 10 picks, and still got a player he wanted. Plus, he got to move up in 2 different rounds.

    Take this as a lesson in strategy, jerseycarter [IMG]
    </div>

    Oh, man, I hope you're not using what I did as an example in sound strategy. I maybe didn't want to draft Lebron, but after seeing some of the later trades, I realize I pretty much just gave that pick away.

    If the last pick was made at 3:55 pm shouldn't the six hour limit be 9:55 pm not 11:55 pm

    Yeah, it should. I forgot we were going with a 6 hour limit when I edited the thread.

    Not that easy to keep track of things while dealing with four boys 10 and under.

    http://www.82games.com/QTR4S11.HTM

    Also it wasn't you but someone else who mentioned Wallace's health before
    </div>

    In the last 5 minutes of fourth quarters, Gerald Wallace had an eFG% of 27%. Butler had an eFG% of 51%.

    In the last 5 minutes of fourth quarters, per 48 min, Wallace averaged 17 points. Butler averaged 38 points.

    The difference is striking. Butler is up there with Melo (actually a little better than Melo) in terms of performance at the end of games, in crunch time. He is much more efficient at the end of games than Wallace is, and as a result, there is a MUCH better chance something good will happen if the ball is in his hands at that juncture of the contest than if the ball was in Wallace's hands.

    And it terms of overall team play, when Wallace was on the floor in the last 5 minutes of a game, the Bobcats averaged, per 48 min, 106 points. They gave up 108 points. The Wizards on the other hand, averaged 113 points, while giving up only 104 when Butler was on the floor in the closing minutes.

    Butler also does not turn the ball over as much at the end of games, though it's not something either of them excel at particularly.

    Wallace in cruch time | Butler in cruch time

    That is why Butler is a first round pick.

    Pretty damn good. I've used it for 3 years now. It's a nice way to measure a player's value because they delve deeper than just plain points, rebs, asts, etc.

    T-Mac is a better player than Butler, but the gap is closer than many think.

    I still think picking T-Mac and making him the franchise player is a fruitless effort. That's why I picked Deron Williams.
