Obviously, if this were a sim league, the order the players were drafted would have been done in a different way.

But it still would be cool to see how the 1 year sim would turn out and laugh about it. </div> Obscure teams win lol But it would be interesting....you could run a sim league with this draft....in the sense that you award points for regular season standings in the sim....then award points per vote from your peers on your team, then set up a ranking like that, like a power ranking...don't know how to run a playoff system from that, but like I guess you could do the same thing for that...take the top 8 from each conference in combined voting and standing score....then keep simming and voting on matchups til we get a champ. Just an idea.

We'd draft teams and make trades, have to obey the salary cap and the CBA when making trades. You'd play the scheduled games and post the results. As commissioner, you'd be moderator of the SIM League forums and get to oversee the roster moves and that kind of thing. Ideally, we'd keep the teams after the season and draft rookies or players on waivers next year and do it again.
Also, we could start out with existing teams and just start making trades from those, instead of drafting teams from scratch (known as a stock league instead of a draft league).

The games are played using a video game like NBA 2K9. Getting the box scores out of it is the challenge. We were talking about using the PC version of 2K6 the last time we tried to get this going.

Last time we tried to get one of these going, we had a team owner and a team GM, so two posters got to work as a team to run a team.
Well ive joined many many draft leagues on nba 2k8 for xbox 360 and each league gets a website www.online.2ksports.com and they have boxscores, standings and more... I can get a league going for xbox 360 users if you want to.. but i think we should wait a few months for nba 2k9 though.. i dont know let me know.
