One rumor going around is of a three way trade involving Golden State and Atlanta. it would have Brandan Wright and Bellineli coming to Minnesota with the Wolves giving up McCants, Carney, a trade exception and one of thier many future 1st rounders. http://www.twolvesblog.com/fireboard/minne...lves.html#17614 __________________________________________________________ Personally I'm not to into this, although Wright would be nice to have and has alot of potential but if Minnesota is going to package so much together shouldn't they just work a deal directely with Atlanta for Josh Smith? It just seems to make more sense
It's on Timberwolvespress as well. But I agree NNNM, might as well go for Smith considering we already have Love and Al down low and don't really need Wright (although he does have quite a bit of potential)
Still, Bellinelli and Wright would be an upgrade over Carney and McCants, right? I've only seen McCants play a couple times, can't say I really like his game all that much.

I'm thinking that if Minnesota really wanted to get Smith from ATL they could at this point a large package of players and picks should do it. I'm sure I Minnesota sweetened the deal by working Brewer in the deal...the Hawks would pretty much have to take it or risk losing Smith for nothing
Most likely, Smith doesn't want to go to Minnesota. That is why the T-Wolves are merely facilitators and get an upgrade in talent for their troubles. Remember, a sign and trade first depends upon where the player wants to go. The Hawks can't send him where he doesn't want to go.
Precisley my question. I don't see the reasoning behind all this. Unless they have the fact mixed up and we are in fact getting Smith, I don't see the point here.
