<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Chiefs could look to deal QB Huard July 26, 2008 7:40 PM Posted by ESPN.com's Bill Williamson There is an interesting item on Chiefs quarterback Damon Huard in the Kansas City Star. Huard, the former starter in Kansas City, is running third behind Brodie Croyle and Tyler Thigpen at the Chiefs' camp. There is little chance Huard will leapfrog either quarterback ahead of him. The story suggests Huard could be traded at some point. It makes sense if Kansas City considers dealing him because most teams do not have 35-year-old third-string quarterbacks. Experienced backup quarterbacks are difficult to come by, so it would not be a shock if there is some interest in Huard as teams get closer to finalizing their 53-man rosters.</div>
So, it looks like Herm will simplify the chefs offense even more... eventually it'll resemble the phins under Wanny. Back in the day, some phins fans wanted to draft Croyle & I said he was a Feidler w/ a marginally better arm.

What a frightening thought for King Carl and his loyal subjects.
I agree that experienced backup QBs are nice, but if Huard can't beat out Croyle and Thigpen, will he be able to beat out the backups on another team? Am I underrating Croyle and Thigpen? Also, what kind of draft pick would a team give up for him?
a conditional 7th at best....Carl Peterson tends to overvalue his players when seeking a trade and he has a history of rapping Rick Speilman, so maybe Minnesota....
