According to ESPNEWS, Manny would not object leaving Boston.

    Ya think?

After what he pulled the other night...it's obvious he's going into one of his annual Manny fits.

Management better not bite. What the hell are we gonna trade him for and who's going to protect Ortiz if we do?

They better get some amazing prospects. Manny is one of the best, most consistent, hitters in the league. Can't say I'd be sad to see him go.

Theres a big problem....few teams can afford him, and the ones that can wont give up a good package for a guy that wore his welcome out in Boston....unless they are planning to assume most of his salary, its pretty much the Yankees, the Mets and maybe the teams in LA and Chicago....

Hard to get a quality package for a 36 year old headache.

Yankees wouldn't take him. We've already got a log jam.

It would be dumb to trade him when they're still in contention. If they don't want him, just don't pick up his option in November. Trading him now would kill their chance at winning it all this year.
