Ooh, a midnight deadline. Krstic may have to improve his rebounding, but definitely not his flair for the dramatic.

I actually think the deadline was a favor to the Nets because they were probably working on a few things in the S&T area and wanted the time to see if they could get somthing done.
Giving ultimatums like that is in bad taste. The Nets have been very good to Curly, I'm not saying he should pass on the money but does he know he sucked last year?
Kristic about his development all season last season: "I need more time" Kristic has an offer for Russia: "You ain't got alot of time!"

D'Alesandro Looks like the Nets will be letting him go. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>"Considering we're losing a starting-quality player, it's not necessarily bad, put it that way," one high-level Nets official said. In other words, the Nets will watch him closely for the next year or two, take him back when he is ready or allow him to increase his trade value in the interim. And if Krstic doesn't regain what he once had before December of 2007 -- when a torn ACL detoured his quest of becoming one of the most promising young big men in the league -- they don't lose a penny.</div> Also looks like they did try to get into the Josh Smith negotiations. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>So the team is still pursuing moves that could relieve the logjam at power forward, and they are pursuing some extraordinary methods with which to do it. He had a deal on the table that he didn't want to lose and he gave the team sometime as a courtesy in case they had something cooking. I don't think he's being a bad guy here... in fact I think it's the opposite. It's only an ultimatum if there was a hot market.

I look at it as the Nets letting Krstic get back to form, but unlike sending him to the D-League, he won't count toward the 15-player limit on the roster.
