Both Green and Jones can be waived before Aug 1 with no hit on the cap. On Aug 1, their contracts become guaranteed. For those keeping score (Hi NI), the Nuggets just got back one of the first round picks they gave away for Kenyon.

I really don't get this trade, unless it's entirely financially motivated. Or does D'Antoni actually disdain defense? The best hope the Knicks had of improving lay in Balkman and Lee getting more minutes, along with their new point. What's D'Antoni going to get out of Z-Bo, Curry, Crawford and Richardson that Isiah didn't?
I may be biased, but I think the Nets did a better job recovering from their 2006 bust than the Knicks in the Marcus Williams trade.
