Arsenal will be seeded when the draw for the Third Qualifying Round of the Champions League takes place at 11am (UK time) on Friday. That means Arsène Wenger's team will avoid the likes of Barcelona and Juventus when the pairings are confirmed at Uefa headquarters in Nyon. When the draw is made on Friday, the second legs of the Second Qualifying Round ties will not yet have been played. The first legs of the Third Qualifying Round ties are scheduled for August 12 and 13 with the second legs following on August 26 and 27. Winners in this round will qualify for the Group Stage, while losing teams will be entered in the first round of the Uefa Cup. Arsenal will be seeded in the Group Stage if they win their qualifier.
