of course he isn't, but if you're a celtics fan you WANT your leader saying things like this, because it shows how much confidence he has in his game..........
this is pretty old... theyve been talking about this in realgm and laker nation the past week. apparently he wasnt... i just think that he though he could get away with it since they were in spain and a spanish paper (madrid's marca) was interviewing him.

Pierce is just a cocky son of a gun. It's one of those things where he probably has to say that though. He just won the Finals MVP. He shouldn't really be saying otherwise.
Do I think he's the best player in the world? No. Do I have a problem with him saying something like that? No. Like someone else said, confidence is a good thing....
He is a good complimentary player on KG's team. Good for him. Back when the Celts were his team, he got completely owned by Jason Kidd. I didn't hear him running his mouth then.
