no to trading shane...........I would like another PG, but I'd only do it for Head, Brooks, or Novak....................the potency of the defensive tandem of Artest and Battier is something that you have to let happen.........

I think that's unlikely. Battier is a perfect role player, and that may actually shine through even more now that we're not needing him to be a scorer for us.

Head and Chuck Hayes could be trade bait. I don't believe we'd be allowed to sign and trade Carl Landry, though.

You know me well. Not sure how many minutes Chuck would get with the team next year, though. Particularly if Artest is getting a lot of minutes at the 4.

Yeah I agree man. So do you think Artest will get slightly more minutes at PF?

I really hope you lose Landry though. [IMG]

I think that's probable, particularly if the Rockets aren't successful in bringing back Landry. And with Artest, the Rockets are probably less likely to overspend to bring Landry back as well. I don't see them spending more than 3 mil / year, especially if he continues to refuses to get his knee scoped.

What makes Chuck valuable as a defender was his versatility in checking guys on the perimeter and strength against post players. Artest brings those qualities as well, which will make Chuck more expendible. Then again, if we're not bringing back Landry, it's good to keep Chuck around for some extra depth.

I'm now not so concerned about Landry, as Artest will likely shift to PF and Battier play SF when Scola is out of the game. Besides, we have a similar player in Dorsey, who is actually better defensively than Landry. Keeping Hayes for extra depth would be nice too, as he can play center as well.

The players I won't mind seeing traded for PGs will be Head, and Head. LOL.

    NO TO MOVING STEVIE!!!
