The filler would need to be Ming or Tracy. If not those 2, it would have to be a combination of 2/3 other guys on top of Shane. Doesn't make sense for the Nuggets at all. -Petey
Yea the first thing I thought about this trade was SALARY DIFFERENCE AI makes 21 million, Shane makes ummm 6.4 mill. So it wouldn't be a Shane for AI trade, it would have to be Yao for AI or Tmac for AI.

I can show u the linkage, but it is a chinese webpage, i guess it is helpless to u. However, the fact is rocket do need a PG, and shane is their only blue-chip in hand. And from the perspective of denver, they need to trade iverson too, because they are trying to rebuild the team. I know the salary difference is there, but if rocket could provide someone else like alston etc. Maybe they could balance the salary.

Just someone coming up with nonsense after still being hyped by getting Artest.

I presume that was in reference to the Artest deal. I don't know where the Iverson rumor originated, but my feeling is that there's nothing to it. I don't think the Rockets would be interested in dealing away Alston and Battier, two of their best team defenders and leaders, for a player like Allen Iverson. It's possible that there were some discussions with Denver that someone might have picked up on, but after this Artest deal I don't see us making another major roster shakeup. Continuity is a valuable thing.

Someone suggest to put ron in PF because he is strong, but i would like to say that ron is strong only when he is playing SF. Can u imagine that when ron facing Amare or Carlos in the post? Alston is a nice guy, he is very inetresting, a good teamworker. But if we could get a better PG, i am very happy to see that happen.

One of the biggest issues for us was improving our depth at the wing position. We accomplish that by adding Artest. If we now trade away Battier, we're going backwards again. And remember, Artest has a history of flaking out and/or missing a number of games. Battier is the polar opposite in that regard -- the consummate professional, always dependable, extremely durable. And then, I still think Battier does things on the court that Artest does not do. Saying that Artest does Battier's job on the defensive is simplifying things. They're both very good defenders, but they do it in different ways.

As for the rumor, there were talks of Iverson coming to Houston but a deal would have included Bobby Jackson. With his expiring contract gone, it'll be hard to balance the salaries out.
