<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The Tennessee Titans are bringing in former Jacksonville quarterback Byron Leftwich for a physical and to throw to some receivers. The workout is designed to see if team officials want to add him to a "ready list" of players for emergencies. Coach Jeff Fisher said the Titans have a number of receivers they are working out Thursday, and he's not going to ask quarterbacks Vince Young, Kerry Collins or Ingle Martin to throw to them. That is part of the reason for bringing in Leftwich for a physical and a little work on the field. "He's played in the league. He's been a starter in the league. He's won a lot of games. We're bringing him in just to work him out and see where he's at and even give him a physical and have him throw to some receivers that we're also trying to determine whether we put on our ready list or not," Fisher said. Jacksonville cut Leftwich late in training camp a year ago, and he signed with Atlanta in September. He played in only three games because of an ankle injury and other problems.</div> http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/trainingcamp...tory?id=3511916
Whatever happened to this guy... Wasn't he a pretty good QB at one point for the Jags? I know he wasn't great, but I always thought he was at least decent. Now it seems like he's struggling to get a job in the NFL
Slooooooooow release. Big arm. Slow decision maker too. Not mobile. Basically, think of a worse Drew Bledsoe. That is what Leftwich is.
