At the break, it was Cubs by 5 games....the Brewers used a 6 game winning streak to pull even with the Cubs and came into this weeks series a game back....after a serious 4 game beatdown, the Cubs lead returns to 5 games, and if the Cards win tonight, the Brewers wont even be in 2nd place....the Brewers didnt handle it too well, as Gagne got himself ejected for throwing behind Edmonds and Fielder got tossed for yelling at the plate umpire....best of all, it all happened in Milwaukee and the Brewers threw Sabathia, Sheets, and Parra out, and have nothing to show for it....rarely have I enjoyed seeing a team get the shit kicked out them like I enjoyed this series....
Brewers got schooled. I still think they'll win the wild card because I honestly don't think many lineups can put 9 hits on C.C. and score 6 runs on Sheets but this certainly showed the Brewers who the "big boys" are. The only good thing that can come from this is maybe they learned something. I don't know but I turned off every game but the first the one right around the 5th or 6th inning.
