... I'm a big Mets fan! I started following baseball around 1986 and became a fan of the team led by Gooden and Strawberry. I later became a Mariners fan the year of their first winning record in team history, but don't think I'm a bandwagon fan, I've stuck with both teams through good times and bad. Any other Mets fans here? Judging from Ghoti's avatar, I'm guessing that there are probably a few around here. I'd be happy to talk about them with people who are closer to the team and follow them more closely. I just started a thread about their recent streak. Is this a team that needs something like a managerial change to spark and motivate them? Can they find another spark with the trade deadline past?
