Battier and Artest will get the majority of their minutes from the SG/SF positions, the rest will go to McGrady. We have 3 swingmen that can play the SG/SF position and Artest can even log minutes at the PF.

I don't understand why everyone is saying Battier is getting traded. The Rockets are ready for lift off.

    Yao / Deke / Hayes
    Scola / Landry / <span style="color:#FF0000">Dorsi</span>
    Artest / Battier / <span style="color:#FF0000">Novak / Harris</span>
    McGrady / Battier / <span style="color:#FF0000">Head</span>
    Rafer / Brooks / <span style="color:#FF0000">Francis</span>

I'm happy the Celtics lost Posey.

    you forgot about Barry

I'm not convinced Francis, Novak, Harris, Hayes or Head will be contributors, or even on the team

No way Shane should be traded because of a possible one year rental
There is no way I see Morey letting Landry get away

I still think there are other pieces, going or coming, involved in the Ron trade, so I don't want to put a lineup until its really done in 2 weeks

    TMac/Barry
    Artest/Shane

thats a hell of a cover for the wings, and Artest will get some min. at PF when there is a decent matchup

The Rockets have made it pretty clear that Novak is not part of their future plans. He's going to be traded or waived. And there's also indications that the Rockets plan on using Artest at PF quite a bit this season. Not sure how that would work out if Scola and Landry are also on the team, though. And the team is so crowded at PF, I doubt Dorsey sees any minutes there. I imagine he'll strictly be used as a backup C.

Mike Harris may end up making the team, but it will be tough for him to see anything but garbage time except for when Artest is injured/suspended.

I think we'll see Battier and Artest both on the floor quite a bit, but it may be more often at SF/PF rather than SG/SF.

The Rockets need to trade for a tough banging PF. I would go for someone like Reggie Evans, or Udonis Haslem.

I would take ScoLandry over Evans/Haslem every day of the week and twice on Sundays.

    I can't believe I forgot Barry

I expect these players to get minutes

    Yao/Hayes/Deke
    Scola/Landry
    Artest/Battier
    Mac/Barry
    Rafer/Brooks

No room for Head, Harris, Francis, or Novak. Send Dorsi to the NBDL since we have Hayes this year.

    Hayes
    Artest
    Battier
    McGrady</span>

You're a year late with that one. We've got PF suitably covered.

Well one things for certain Chuck Hayes's days are numbered.......I don't see him on the roster very long.

    Skip/Brooks
    Tmac/Barry/Head
    Artest/Battier
    Scola/Landry/Dorsy
    Yao/Mutumbo

I think the Rockets need a athletic big who can run the court. Somebody between 6'10 and 7ft and who's length will give teams problems. Kelvin Cato played that role for us once upon a time. The problem is Mutumbo's super slow and often bogs the down. It would be great to have an uptempo game when Yao sits.

I wanted to see Hayes on the floor with Deke, Artest, Battier, and Rafer
