Will bounce back next year after finally having his surgery and play like the 06/07 Luke Walton

When it happens, remember that I called it.

when it doesnt happen, do you still want us to remember it? Because that could cause quite an embaressment.

    lol

No problem but it doesn't matter because it's not gonna happen.

I have faith in Luke. Dude will beast it up next year. Trust me. There will be a point next year when we will all be screaming "BENCH LAMAR AND PLAY LUKE!!!!!"

Because Lamar is not a good fit at SF and Luke was our second most consistent player two seasons ago when he was healthy [IMG]

    Luke FTW

Haters shut up. He will prove you wrong

Okay. Sure. just kidding brian, on a serious note, id like to hear your veiw on how walton is going to vastly improve his game so that we'll all want him out on the floor rather than odom. i dont know if that could be the case, maybe towards the end of the season, thats if walton really does make big strides in his improvement. also how fond of walton are the buss boys and mitch, and phil. maybe he may never get the chance he needs to improve seeing as he's untrustworthy, an outcome from his last seasons overall performance.

He doesn't really need to "improve," if you get what I mean. He just needs to get healthy again and get back into shape. How possible is that? I don't know, but I'm gonna try to be optimistic about this since I have no optimism about Lamar succeeding as our starting SF.

In 06/07, when Luke was healthy (and contract year), he was our ideal starting SF. He was the second most consistent player on our squad, behind Kobe, and in front of Lamar. He was our glue guy. Remember those stretch of games when he got injured? We fell apart. The healthy Luke Walton, or the contract year Luke Walton, was able to hit threes when he was open, had a nice fade-away jump shot he started to develop towards the end of the 05/06 season, rebounded, made hustle plays, set up the offense, made everyone involved in the offense, and showed his basketball IQ.

I have no idea what happened last year, maybe it was the injury, maybe he just slacked off because of the contract, but I am hoping that since his father is a former NBA star, he will somehow get the motivation to bounce back next year. We know Luke can play at a high level. That's not a question, he's done it before for one whole season. The problem lies in his health, or maybe just motivation and determination (something he lacked after getting the contract)

Just trying to stay positive though. Hopefully Luke will surprise us next year. We have no other option but to hope because we all know he's gonna get a lot of minutes regardless of his play because PJ loves him
