<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (NetsDaily)</div><div class='quotemain'>Following up on his earlier comment that he was ”playing not to make mistakes, trying to stay on the court…” while with the Nets, Marcus Williams tells a Connecticut reporter, “It seems like I never got the opportunity to play in New Jersey, so to have a new start to show what I can do, it’s exciting.” Williams, along with Josh Boone, will play in UConn’s annual charity game next weekend.</div>

Didn't actually give Frank a reason to play him either.

Even if he does get a chance to "show what [he] can do", and he plays well, that doesn't change the fact that he can't play a lick of defense and played like shit on the Nets.

lol Marcus got plenty of playing time. The problem with him was that he was inconsistent in the starts he was given (with occassional shows of brilliance), but was consitently awful coming off of the bench. That was the main problem: when appropriately given a lesser role behind devin harris and jason kidd, marcus came up small time and time again. He couldn't complete the smaller tasks he was given, so why in the hell did he deserve to be placed in the larger roles?? You got your minutes Marcus, not 40 minutes, but at least 15 minutes a game, and that should have been more than enough for you to at least show the coaching staff that you deserved a bigger role on the team. But ya really didn't man, get cha fat ass in shape.

The bolded 2 sentences above sums up Marcus' tenure with the Nets to a tee.
