I PM'ed logik and he immediately came on the site and made his pick. Thanks logic [IMG]

FWIW, this is the first time I had a top 10 pick in any of these drafts, so I made a list of players in order that I would have picked if they were available come my turn. Basically a mock draft of sorts for the first round.

    LeBron
    Howard
    Kobe
    Paul
    Amare
    Garnett
    Williams
    Duncan
    Yao
    Wade
    Roy
    Bosh
    Dirk

My top 10 for every draft.

    Kobe
    LeBron
    Wade
    Howard
    Amare
    Paul
    Williams
    Garnett
    Duncan
    Yao

Garnett won the championship, San Antonio is looking a lot more ordinary as Duncan gets older. Maybe he's a step slower.

Got kind of screwed with the only remaining low post threats being Al Jefferson and ****. I figured it was my last chance to nab one. Went with the younger, taller, slightly better defensive one.

is it really so f*cking hard to not talk about players who haven't been picked? it's just common courtesy.

Never heard of that rule. May I ask why its in place? Are we hoping that people will forget about players entirely so that they'll slip?

Well how would you like it if you were picking #20, hoping the guy you named would fall to you, and then you blabber about him and #18 goes "Oh I forgot about him, I'll take him!"

    Something like that.

It's more like...we don't want to help out other GM's. I guess it's about strategy.

For example, I picked player X in the other draft. A couple picks after mine, another player I wanted was drafted...player Y. I didn't realize player Y was even available. Had I known that, I would have drafted player Y over player X.

That would suck but thats how drafts go. I would bank on my master drafting skills to win the game, not the luck of some player falling below where he should have been drafted.

Maybe I was just smokescreening before when I mentioned the undrafted player who will not be named. [IMG]

Ok then (hypotheticlaly) its your fault for being an idiot and not knowing the player you wanted was there.

And if we're gonna be this competitive then it was probably a good move on my part to let the others know that said player was available, because I don't want him to slip back to the guys who got to draft the elite players in the NBA. Its irrelevant because said player would not have slipped anyway.

Anyway I wasn't aware that I had violated any unspoken rules. I won't do it again.

Exactly. If someone had brought him up, they would have helped me out.

But, the way it should be is that if someone forgets a player, let them deal with the consequences. We're trying to construct the best team possible, not help out the other GMs.

I also took big Al with he 27th pick in the other draft and a few people said that his D was horrible.... I dont watch any of the twolves games so i dont know for sure, but his stats and age sure look pretty 20-10 guy with almost 2 blocks per game and only 23 years old? Not too shabby imho.

Blocks are not an indication of a player's defense level.
