With the loss of Jefferson how much wins can we expect? I don't like Yi that much to be honest and I think the nets will have a bad season. As much as I love them I think they will have only 28 wins this season. Any other predictions?
IMO... 35 at best, 25 at worst. We are a team with only one consistant scoring threat... This gunna be a helluva long season boyo...
I think there's about five of these threads, but I skimmed through the last five pages in the Nets forum, and can't find em. So, 38.
Most people will say around 34 games. I'll stick to the average. It usually takes a new NBA player their 3rd years to produce average NBA starter stats. Nets will be below average in at least 2 positions from their starters. Don't expect to win too much.

But he won't be too far behind because he plays a lot of international basketball (however he does have a slight language barrier). Boone is in his 3rd year and he'll get the nod at center. I think he'll do pretty well next season. Boone/Lopez Yi/Najera Simmons/CDR Carter/Hayes Harris/Dooling I'm going to refrain from picking a number of wins until I actually see what the roster is going to look like. There is more work to be done.

It's all up to coach Frank.

It's impossible to predict because essentially every major player with the exception of Vince is new--we don't know how they will play together, how they will take to what Frank is preaching, etc. The team will also demand large contributions from the rookies, which is always dangerous and uncertain. That said, the team has a good core and could surprise a lot of people. They could also completely fall apart. I would say that from roster spots 6-14 they are one of the deepest teams in the conference. They have a nice combination of youth and experience, and have players that can both shoot and are known for their hustle and defense. Their starting backcourt is very, very strong. Don't forget how dynamic Devin Harris was when he first returned from his injury! Their starting SF--which will be some combination of a few guys--we could probably rate as being "capable"--neither helping nor hurting, but hopefully enough to take some of the pressure and scoring load off of Vince. Their starting frontcourt (and primary backup bigs) could be a complete disaster. However, it can't be any worse than it was last year! That will be the story. If Boone, Lopez, Sean, Yi, and Swift and whoever I'm forgetting can contribute something offensively and not be completely abused when on defense, the team could contend for one of the last few playoff spots (barring injuries to Devin or Vince). I will be optimistic and put them down for 43 wins. I think Frank is a good coach and will get the most he can out of this group. I think that the cancer of Kidd, the poor defense of Boki and Krstic, and the selfishness of RJ has all been underestimated.

The Nets imo need another scoring threat besides carter, noone else will get 18ppg, unless we get lucky with harris
34. book it. the team will struggle heavily and it will be a painful year. im setting the bar low so anything above will be a pleasant surprise. i expect lots of... "WTF is frank thinking“?" "WHY IS YI GETTING MORE TOUCHES THAN VINCE?!" "do they even care?" "sean still cant shoot a jumper..." "why is vince being benched....the team needs him..." "blow it up!" im usually positive, but eh....just speakin my mind

32-34 wins Seems to be the slot teams like this fall into: not bad enough for a great pick, not good enough for the playoffs. The Nets were already one of the streakiest teams in the league. I could see a 11-2 month followed by a 2-11 month, easy.
ima say 43 wins... because i think the team will buy into franks system... and it will all start from VC and devin...
I really think this is going to be an interesting team to watch. There will be many subplots to follow throughout the season, not the least of which is: Just how good (or bad) a coach if Lawrence Frank? I think he is pretty good, and if anyone can coax 45 wins out of this team, it is him.
