<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The Rockets expect to trim their roster and their bloated collection of forwards on Wednesday by dealing Steve Novak to the Los Angeles Clippers, an individual with knowledge of the deal said Tuesday.

The Rockets will receive future draft considerations, likely the right to switch places with the Clippers in a second round. It is unclear which season that would be because both teams have future second round commitments.

The Rockets selected Novak, 25, in the second round of the 2006 season. A 6-10 forward, Novak averaged 2.7 points in 70 NBA games, making 44.1 percent of his shots and 42.7 percent of his 3-pointers.

The highlight of his two seasons with the Rockets was likely the buzzer-beating 3-pointer he made to defeat the Kings during the Rockets’ 22-game winning streak last season.</div>

Well, the Rockets have said for several weeks they were going to move Novak, and it's been known that we wouldn't get much of anything if return. This was expected.

While it was obvious we wuold trade away Novak, I think we should've got more than him.
I was hoping to get a garaunteed 2nd round pick rather than just an OPTION to SWAP picks. I think that's pretty lame.

It's not really a big deal coz we are not losing much out of it, but Novak is a lot better than what the trade was worth.

I agree, I thought we would at least get a 2nd rounder. I don't think we are even getting a TE, not that it's a big deal.

Going by the market, Novak is almost worth as much as Camby.

Yea, I am going to miss him and wish him the best of luck.

I'll always remember him as the guy who kept our streak alive.

kinda like the rest of you I saw this coming. I still believe we should've used him more, because dude could shoot, but with the addition of Brent Barry I doubt that we'll miss him.........................

    NEXT ON TRADE LIST (hopefully)
