A side effect of the JO trade was that we've had to dismantle our deep bench and replace it with a lot of cheap unproven players, in order to avoid the luxury tax. There are a lot of factors that will determine how well the Raps do this season (O'Neal's health, Bargnani's play, Jose's first year as a full-time starter, etc.). But I think that our unproven bench players will play a big part in our fortunes this season. They have the potential to become a massive liability as well the ability to be a surprise asset (similar to Boston's bench this season).

    Roko Ukic

    Hassan Adams

    Will Solomon

    Nathan Jawai

How do you think they'll fare this year? What do you think they're capable of and will they be able to fullfill that potential?

I can't see Jawai contributing that much this season, you have to think that hes behind Bargs and Hump in terms of big man off the bench.
Solomon and Ukic I can see spliting time at backup PG early on to see whos more capable. I think Roko comes out the winner though.
Hassan Adams will be a useful energy guy. I am drawing blanks as to who the backup for AP is right now so I am guessing Hassan will get a lot of those minutes.

Solomon and Ukic will both be big, Solomon will become the combo guard safety valve if any of Jose/AP/Adams/Roko get hurt and will step it up in that time. The ACC crowd will love Adams
