I have the same question for the east coast, I tried looking up from the guide that the tv remote has through comcast but I cannot find it.

I really need to know since I don't want to miss a second of the opening ceremony.

    Fail.

In eastern time (since that's where I am), the ceremony starts at 8:08 AM tomorrow. NBC will air the ceremony at 7:30 PM.

I don't know how you could see the ceremony, there's so much smog that when Brain Williams did NBC Nightly News outside the stadium tonight you could barely see the huge thing behind him.

There's going to be a delay? That would suck.

Hopefully not, since I want to see things live, during the morning, and then they can repeat all they want but I need it live, otherwise there is no excitement.

Yeah but will you be able to watch at say, 2 AM? Some games are around that time. It's not fun watching delayed games though since you know who won already

I just checked my schedule, and NBC will be showing the Today show. That sort of makes sense for them, since they'll want to capitalize on the attention and funnel that into ratings for their morning show, while at the same time keep themselves from diluting the primetime ratings the Opening Ceremony will bring.

No you're right about that but still show the games live, for whoever wants to see it make it possible to see it, for the rest then keep repeating.

Most countries in the world (well at least in Europe I know from first hand experience) that they show 100% of the olympics, everything live, basically ever second from start to finish.
