This year I'll be trying our for my JV basketball team. I need some tips on how to imrpove my all around game. What drills should i do, I need to imrpove every aspect of my game. Please help me everybody, I just need to imrpove and want to increase my level of play. I'm a SG. I play on the schools summer league JV team so I pretty much understand the plays and know the team.

    What grade are you in?
Use the rest of the summer to get in shape and work out with friends...Maybe if you know someone on the team ask them what you need to work on and what the coaches like to see. Make sure you're good with fundamentals.

IMO, one of the key factors in playing time is not your shooting, but your decision making and ball handling. A lot of people, when they "shoot around" just work on 3-point shots. I would work on dribbling and layups..crossing over and passing/attacking the basket. Some of these DVDs are good....i liked the Pistol Pete's homework basketball.
