He is pretty much saying give me a 71 million dollars over 6 years contract like Luol or else good bye. This is the business side of the NBA and if I don't get this money then I'm gone. He even mentioned his scoring success to top it off.
The fans love him, but management hasn't shown him much love since his 1st season. I don't blame him for feeling the way he does.
Iggy signs a $9M bigger deal than Deng. Last season's 40-42 record is his best as a pro. Gordon and Deng have played on 47 and 49 win teams. Does Iggy's deal set some sort of fair expectation for Gordon to be paid a lot better than the Bulls offer?
