<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>It’s been a relatively uneventful summer for the Cavaliers. All that could change if a three-team trade rumor has any substance to it. A league source said the Cavs might be pursuing Bucks point guard Mo Williams. All the details aren’t known, but the Cavs, Bucks and Oklahoma City (formerly Seattle) are reportedly involved. Bucks general manager John Hammond has made it known he has no intention of parting with shooting guard Michael Redd, a longtime target of the Cavs. Perhaps Cavs general manager Danny Ferry went for the next best thing. If Williams is headed to the Cavs, however, would Delonte West be included in such a deal? He’s a restricted free agent who has been a regular at Cleveland Clinic Courts for much of the summer. It wouldn’t make any sense to have Williams and West on the same roster since both expects to be starters. If West is involved, though, it would have to be in a sign-and-trade. The Cavs have been embroiled in a contract dispute with West since July 1. Oklahoma City probably wouldn’t want him back. The SuperSonics sent West to the Cavs in a blockbuster trade on Feb. 21. The Sonics drafted UCLA point guard Russell Westbrook in June and already have Luke Ridnour and Earl Watson on their roster. In fact, Oklahoma City might want to dump one of its two backup point guards. The Cavs would have to have reservations about Williams’ bloated contract. He has five years remaining on his deal, including the 2008-09 season, worth more than $43 million. He’ll make $8.4 million this season and owns a player option for 2012-13. For a team trying to clear the deck of salaries, that wouldn’t make sense.</div> One Mo deal in Cavs' summer plans? - Bob Finnan, News-Herald Wow, that would be quite the pickup for the Cavs. I'm wondering what OKC might want...maybe they're looking to get rid of a PG, and acquire Wally's expiring (again)? The Cavs have been shopping him around, so it's possible.

Edit - or none of the above - do you think he'd rather just stick with Charlie Bell, Tyronn Lue, and Ramon Sessions?
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Milwaukee Bucks guard Mo Williams could be headed to Cleveland as part of a three-team trade, with the Bucks targeting point guard Luke Ridnour of the Oklahoma City franchise, formerly the Seattle SuperSonics. NBA sources confirmed that there had been discussions involving the three teams. Cleveland is searching for backcourt help to complement LeBron James, and Williams could fit the bill. But Williams carries a hefty price tag with five years and $43 million left on the $51 million contract the point guard signed with the Bucks before last season, when he was an unrestricted free agent. Cleveland had some interest in Williams last summer, and the Miami Heat made him an offer, but he chose to stay with the Bucks. The Cavaliers have been unable to come to a contract agreement with point guard Delonte West, who is a restricted free agent this summer, and he could be part of the deal in a sign-and-trade, according to reports. Or Oklahoma City could receive former Bucks forward Joe Smith, who has an expiring contract and will be paid $4.8 million next season, as part of its compensation in the deal. The Bucks are interested in Ridnour, according to league sources. The 6-foot-2 guard from Oregon has played five seasons for the SuperSonics since being selected 14th overall in the 2003 draft.</div> Williams trade being explored - Charles F. Gardner, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Ah, so the Bucks would take on Ridnour. I'm surprised they're interested in him. I'd actually like that - I wanna see him get minutes on a team. But I'm still confused with who OKC would take back. Not sure I could see Smith getting traded by Cleveland - you'd think they'd wanna hold onto him, since frontcourt depth is lacking...unless, of course, they feel Hickson is gonna come right in and help. Also, what would happen to Delonte? Sign-and-trade, possibly...but to where?
I just woke up an right when I turned on the TV Damon Jones was on Sports Center and was talking about being traded to the Bucks in a 3 team deal. Looks like no one else has reported it officially yet but Damon to the Bucks is one thing we know for sure and Mo Williams to Cleveland is probably likely.
Thanks for the heads-up. Cavs obviously upgrade but I hate how they're following Isiah's philosophy of trading all your big soon-to-be-expiring contracts for players who are ok but not that good. Mo Williams is a good acquisition though- gives them another guy who can score and make plays for others. I've always liked him. Shot a surprisingly high 48% FGs last year and hes a very good 3 pt shooter. Hopefully he can keep the offense at an adequate level when Bron is resting.
Desmond Mason back to his former team (sort of). It's sort of like going back to your ex girlfriend after she's had 136 plastic surgeries.
Will be interesting to see what they do with Delonte West. I'm really not sure what might be in the pipeline, but hopefully a sign and trade for a good quality shooting guard or maybe a better offensive PF. And then there's Wally's expiring contract. Hopefully Ferry is working on something for mid-season with that.
