Im from spain but moved to america when i was 11 years old (Now 18). I landed in NJ and since i always loved sports I decided to follow the nets and have been a hardcore fan ever since. But i never really got into american football. There were always a shit load of Giants fans and some Jets fans but i never really liked either one.. I get the madden games and im ok at it i know the basics but I have no clue which play is good for each situation and i basically " ASK MADDEN" everytime.. lol. So I want to actually learn everything about football and while doing that i want a team to root for.. I recently moved to Boston for school but my parents still live in NJ so im always around there. Also i go to New Orleans to visit my GFs mom like 10 times a year.. Suggestions?
Stick with the Giants. You're already in the market and won't have to deal with problems over media coverage. There's fans around you. The team itself has a lot of history and, more importantly, they're on the rise. They just won a Super Bowl with plenty of young talent, and have one of the best GM's in the league. As for questions about the game, its easy to understand the more you watch. And we have some smart posters around here that you can go to with questions at any time.
Liking the Giants is bad after last year. They will only get worse. Listen to me, I know Vintage. Try and argue with him, you'll fail.

Aside from the fact that they can't win in the playoffs, their fans are as dumb as the players they root for.

But wouldnt it be considered kinda Bandwagon? I pick to root for the Giants after they win a superbowl? COME ON NOW! I still dont know who to root for
to be honest besides my Steelers, Chargers are a good team to go for. Raiders as well, sick DBs. NFC wise, i've been a G-man fan because of my father Giants>>Cowboys
The Colts, Jaguars, and Bengals are either talented and/or Flashy AFC teams. The AFC South has a good core of players in general.

Buy low sell high. It's too late to capitalize on the Giants, but you can hop on board now before the Cowboys win their 6th superbowl (most in the NFL), rather than be a bandwagon fan after they win. You should talk to Max. He's from England and was in a similar position. After hearing what was out there, and researching this problem, he decided on the Cowboys, too. Here are some high selling points for this iteration

Game of the year. Root for the Lions, you wont be labled as a bandwagon fan and you can bitch about the worst GM in the history of sports. Plus they have the better Roy Williams
