Torres wins silver, loses by hundredth of a second

    She should be really proud though, and this was also her first individual medal in 2008

    Good for her. A very storied career finishes with two silvers on her last day. Great stuff.

    Torres did win three individual bronze medals in 2000 at Sydney.

    It's hard to believe she was in the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics. I remember how awesome those Olympics were, but it seems like a million years ago. I can't comprehend how anyone that competed in those Olympics could possibly win a medal in these.

    I guess she'll be overlooked a bit because she didn't win gold, but this is one insane accomplishment. She was in five Olympics and she didn't compete in 1998 or 2004. She could have been a seven time Olympian.

    Sorry about that, I confused first individual in 2008, with first individual in her entire career.
