Well that's part of life, people have certain religious beliefs, etc. As long as no one is bothering him egregiously, I don't see a real problem.
Drama queen? over reacting? probably IMO. dude's a bit of an attention whore and I think he's playing up the indifference he's been met with.
I think it's just sad that any people would be indifferent towards him just because of his sexuality...
maybe they're indifferent towards him because they don't have any type of friendship with him beyond having played in the NBA and he's trying hint that it's because he's gay? IE he MAY be over reacting to the whole situation and trying to link it to the fact he's gay.
Here's how it didn't go well. Jaohn Amaechi came up and said "Hi", and Kobe said "Hi, Who the hell are you?"
That's how I read this. Yeah, I'm sure Kobe Bryant actually still gives a damn about John Amaechi, and that's what's on his mind at Beijing. Same with the other players (and coaches!?).
If John wants a warm reception, he'd find plenty of it in the athletes village... I wonder if Chinese officials provided as many condoms for the athletes as the Australians did for the 2000 games.
All he said was "Kobe was surprised to see me"... and thats what he is basing all this fuss about...please.
