I believe I have the selection thread updated with the trades, but I need someone to check it. Also, the links that were made to trades when were on IPB won't work now, but I see no reason to fix them.
You need a center. In an all-nba draft, I would have Wilcox as my 3rd string forward / 5 bigman in the rotation. Also, and I'm just throwing this out there, I'm assuming jerseycarter took Jameer Nelson because he has an A- potential rating in 2k8 (I'm taking a shot in the dark here, I'm waiting to see if it hits!)
Wade, AK, Okur is good on paper, however AK is better suited to use his speed if he's playing the 4, else he's slightly better than average at the three in terms of defense and shooting range. Okur is a good spot up shooter, obviously, but against the more athletic PFs? He'll get ripped to shreds; he's a center. As for Ben Wallace, like I said that's be a good pick a couple of years ago, but he really hasn't been the Center he used to be in Chicago.
FWIW Ben Wallace would be a great back up to Okur. If you can start Okur, move AK to the 4 (oh hey where have I seen this before? ) and pick up a 3 in your next round, I think you'll put yourself in the right direction (also, if you had drafted Noc with your last pick).
Steals of the draft so far? I say: Vince Carter at #51 Mike Dunleavy Jr. at #86 Zach Randolph at #102 (Come on, 17.6ppg and 10.3rpg is great any way you slice it) Andres Nocioni at #125 And yeah, I brought this up cause I'm proud of the Noc pick.
Vince Carter dropped because of how much flack another person in the other draft got for picking him really early. Randolph couldve been picked at least 2-3 rounds later (We're in the 4th round now?), depending on the necessity of the position. Noc was a steal. I wanted him because I noticed he was dropping...Deng dropped too, but both got taken before my picks...lame
I disagree with 3 of those, and I'm surprised by the one I agree with. Apart from Carter, the only steal I can see is Stuckey. There might be cases made for Barbosa or Foye, or even Noc or Dunleavy, but Zach Randolph is never a steal. Zach Randolph is not a player you want on your team. He has all the talent in the world, sure, but in general you want players to use that talent for good (ie, helping your team win) rather than evil (ie, helping your team lose). And Zach Randolph uses his talents for evil. He's Mr. Negative.
Yay! I got a steal lol Any thoughts on my ream: Mo Williams Vince Carter Carmelo Anthony Drew Gooden Emeka Okafor
