Thoughts on my team now that I've gotten a roster with a starting lineup and full backups. With my backups I wanted to go with youth with my one exception being Nocioni, as he is older. PG: Jason Terry/Javaris Crittenton SG: Kyle Korver/Aaron Afflalo SF: Rashard Lewis/Andres Nocioni PF: Carlos Boozer/Sean Williams C: Marcus Camby/Robin Lopez
I like how you have backups who hustle and play D in Lopez/Afflalo/Nocioni. It'll be a nice change off the bench, as your starters' defense is below average.
Not a big fan of your starters defense or the fact that Jason Terry is your PG. Other than that, I like your big man rotation.
Jason Terry wasnt my ideal image of a PG, as the PG i wanted was drafted like...right before I picked, and that was Devin Harris. Then when I did draft Terry, I decided to have him as my SG, but then my next couple picks for PG where selected, then I got bummed. But to make up for all that, I decided to keep Noc on the bench as he will be great off the bench. Then my bench I wanted a bunch of young, talented, and energetic players, therefore Afflalo, Critt, Lopez, and Williams. I like Lopez and Williams for defensive purposes as well as rebounding and hustle. Afflalo is there also for defensive, plus he is good enough for me offensively off the bench as well. JCritt is a young player with a lot of offensive talent, and I like him. I'll keep this up with my next picks.
Looking at your bench, your front court is a bit of an unknown with Sean and Robin. I agree with KC in that you've got a lot of hustle and D, but besides Nocioni I think you're really lacking shooting/scoring off the bench.
ok now my roster is: PG: Baron Davis / Ronnie Price (pargo went overseas sorry) SG: Ben Gordon / Mickael Pietrus SF: Luke Walton / Joe Alexander PF: David West / Yi Jianlian C : Brendan Haywood pretty solid to me... thoughts?!?!
I agree with you and I think the unknown can be tagged on the entire bench besides Nocioni seeing as how we haven't see much of them or any at all yet to judge them, but I just wanted to go with youth and potential with my bench besides Nocioni and I think I've accomplished that Thanks for all the feedback guys. (And maybe I just like being mysterious, maybe in a sexy way?)
Team 1: PG: D.Harris/Lowry SG: K.Azubuike/M.Carrol SF: R.Gay/C.J.Miles PF: A.Horford/J.Maxiell C: D.Milicic/R.Turiaf I'm still going to try tweak with the starting unit, specifically at the center position. The only true center I have is Darko but I'm not sure who to star between him and Turiaf.
I like Baron playing with David, that seems like it would be lots of fun. Then you have the luxury of Yi and Mickael coming off your bench. But Luke Walton starting for you is a liability on both ends of the floor. Yes, he can pass, but other than that, he won't really do any scoring for you. Plus on defense, he gets lost. The thing about Ben Gordon, is that he's a sreaky shooter, so on a bad night you can be screwed. Brendan Haywood is a legit starting center for you.
I need input on my roster because I won't be her next week. I would like to hear what u guys say about it now
Well I don't like Tim Thomas, granted that's just personal bias. But I do feel he should be your backup SF and get a real rebounding banger as yoru backup to Amare. You have youth in your backups in Telfair and McCants. Your center position is your weakest position, but suitable. Get a backup PF that can really bang and rebound.
Thomas is just an average defender and rebounder, offensively hes a good catch and shoot guy, he passes well for his size and is a good ball handler for his size. He can really spread the floor coming off the bench though. Yes he has his flaws such as disappearing at times but keep in mind hes just my bench player coming off the bench unlike the way the the clippers started him every game at PF. He may not be a banger but he provides versatility on offense. Honestly he will probably put up the same stats as Charlie V, Al Harrington and Yi and we went a couple of rounds later. He is just as good defensively as those 3 also. Also theres no banger left to draft Hes a veteran and given 20 mins he can probably do 10pts and 4 rebs. I don't know how you can say Haywood is a legit center and foster is not. Foster is a legit center in my mind and can do well on any team /situation. He just does his job.
I never said Foster wasn't. I just said your weakest position is your center position, and I'm looking at both the starter and the backup. Just because I failed to mention him doesn't mean I hate the dude. But from PG to C, the Center position is your weakest.
ok my bad i misinterpreted what you meant. Do you think my team is one of the better/middle/worse teams in the league.
