China's Populace Has a Crush on Kobe

Wow....are Lakers fans like this? haha.

This seems a bit extreme...

I really don't think I'd ever do this to any player I praise. I've seen two Syracuse "greats" (in my mind, at least) in person - Billy Edelin and Lazarus Sims, and although I was startstruck, there was no way I'd lose my cool around them.

Even if I saw Johnny Flynn in public, I don't think I'd freak out. I might say somethin, like "yo Johnny!" or nod to him or somethin, but I wouldn't start screaming or crying or rushing him.

 

I'm sure little kids and women were doing the majority of the crying.

 

Asians in general have alot of love for Kobe. I live just 3 hours from Japan and each time I visit, Kobe Jersey's everywhere! Authentic even!!!

 

Asians do this for any kind of star whether it be sports, music, acting. It's just how we are. Granted I live in a neighborhood rife with baseball players, but my thing with stars around here is that, this is there home and I don't want to harass them on their only free time. I say when I walk the dog though and they are outside

 

I love Kobe.
