Zoran had other issues...he was unprepared for the US, he didnt know how to deal with the cultural transition and lost confidence UNDER SCOTT. Scott reportedly told Thorn "get me an American point guard!" Stefanski said the Nets were also unprepared with how to deal with an international player since he was the first since Drazen...first under the Thorn/Stefanski regime. He was also immature.

Frank gave him a few more chances than Scott and recommended the Nets extend him in 2005.

He is now 27 and is the leader of the most surprising team in the Olympics. He showed some promise and I wish him the best.

I'm watching him against Argentina and he looks like the same terrible player to me.

Maybe those early games were a fluke.

Or, maybe he's only good against good competition.

The Anthony Parker you guys drafted is a completely different player than the one that signed with the Raptors a couple seasons ago. I wouldn't sweat it too much about missing out on him. Every team in the NBA thought about giving him the money he wanted to come over the US again but then decided against it.

    bad competition*

Sorry, this stuff I'm doing at work is screwing with my head. Dumb Brazilians.

<s>Doesn't seem as if the defense of the guards for the other 2 teams is exactly top notch.</s>

Scratch that. What I'm really thinking is that Argentina's perimeter defense is top notch, and Zoran's probably failing under the pressure.

Croatia and Lithuania both have fewer people than northern New Jersey. It's amazing either can win a game, let along a medal.

Well, there goes Croatia, in a loss to Spain. (Pretty much expected that)

Zoran was 2nd leading scorer on the team with 12 points.

Peace out, Zoran. Getting to the quarterfinals is not bad at all.
