He actually hit his elbow on the rim? Wow, I didn't know he could jump that high. Damn, that's pretty cool.

Hmmmm. Well, looking at the Nets' current roster, I find it highly doubtful that Boone's spot will get taken any time soon.

Although, it is nice to see that he's looking to improve, and to work hard to keep his spot. I like this.

If hes not traded before the season starts, I think Boone will win a starting spot.

I liked what I saw from him last year except his FT shooting. There are still holes in his game but at least Frank knows what hes going to get.

Boone's the only guy who's shown he can effectively guard NBA bigmen, I sure hope he's gonna keep his spot. That is until someone takes it from him.

I'm actually not so thrilled about the 15 foot jumper though, especially if he starts going to it too often. His strength was the pick and roll to the rim coupled with the work he did off the glass offensively and putting that in his arsenal pulls him away from that strength. With bringing in 2 bigs who have better jumpers and neither has yet proved they can rebound consistently. I'd prefer having Josh firmly planted in the paint as much as possible.

Boone was our most reliable and consistent bigman last year, and I've got see consistency and dependability take more stock with Frank than anything. Am I the only one who is somewhat disappointed that he spent the year working on his jumper? I mean yeah, offense is offense, and I'm choosing while begging. Still, I would have rather seen Boone continue to develop in the low post muscle player his defense and rebounding exemplified, rather than finesse tendencies. We've got Yi and Brook (?) for that. Give me a guy who I can dump it to on the low block when our team can't hit a field goal.

Weren't you guys just saying last season how much better Boone could be if he started improving his FT shooting and developing a 15 foot shot? If not sorry, but I know I did. I'm sure just because he didn't mention strength and defense, it doesn't mean he hasn't.

Plus it's everyone best interests that Boone continues to develop into a complete basketball player. Including his own.

I think he might be pushed to PF and play with Lopez but any playing time is good for him IMO.

I don't see him losing a spot in the rotation. If he does that means some other guys are playing like all-stars. Either that or he's injured.
