<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Does DeShawn Painter really have any interest in Syracuse? <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>When discussing Syracuse's recruits in the Class of '09, remember that James Southerland, a 6-7 guard from New York City who attended Notre Dame Prep this year, might end up re-classifying and spending next year at prep school.</div> http://blog.syracuse.com/orangebasketball/...some_notso.html Oh well. I think we'll be set at SF, anyways. It's probably for the better. Never heard of DeShawn Painter. Hm.
Painter seems undersized but if he stays in the post, Flynn and company will have a much easier time.

The lack of a good post presence when Arinze was off, or was in foul trouble, really hurt Syracuse. That's why I can't stand Greene. He wouldn't post up when we needed him to. He wouldn't attack, and get to the free throw line (Flynn would instead). It became glaringly obvious by the end of the season he was only in it for himself.
Cuse just got a GIGANTIC commitment. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>MSG.com has learned that one of the top prep school basketball players in the nation, California native Melvyn Oliver, has given a verbal commitment to attend Seton Hall University this fall. The 6-foot-11, 330 lb. center played for Mississippi Elite Christian Academy this past season where he averaged 20 points per game, eight rebounds per game and three blocks per game, while helping his team to a 20-5 record. His prep school coach, Victor Evans, when reached by phone at home tonight told me, "it appears that is the case, but I'm waiting to talk to Melvyn first thing in the morning." He also added, "Oliver has all the tools to be special." Evans feels a demanding coach Like Seton Hall’s Bobby Gonzalez will help Melvyn reach his potential.</div>

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Baltimore (MD) Montrose Christian power forward Isaiah Armwood is one of the top power forwards in the class of 2009 and he has narrowed his list of schools down to four. Unless he goes to prep school, he could be good with Johnny and Paul. Although, I doubt we'd need him all that much with Eric and Andy coming back.
