    Have a feeling he's gone for the year. Too bad, I was really hoping he could turn it around, but I guess we'll wait till next year. I think he's still gonna turn out to be a good pitcher though.

    His stuff is ridiculous but he needs to get tougher mentally. I'm not worried about him in the long run.

    Good luck Clay! I can't wait for those Hughes Buchholtz matchups on ESPN and the ALCS (if Price doesn't get in the way).

    No announcement yet on who will take his place. Probably a reliever, since we won't need a fifth starter for a little while, and Wakefield should be ready by then.

    He'll be fine. He's a young pitcher going through tough times. Lots of pitchers do. I'm pretty confident in saying he'll turn it around.

    Especially when you consider the amount of good pitchers in the game right now that had rocky first or second years in their careers.
