My friend sent me a text today that he saw a rumor that Lamar was traded, but wouldn't be announced til next Tuesday. (Maybe for rookie contracts to clear?)

This is really shady, but shit we have nothing else to talk about so my question is...

    Who would you want?

From what I've seen around the net, most speculation revolves around Marion or Josh Howard, but personally, I'd like to see Tayshaun Prince :D
Seeing as how Detroit is wanting to change everything up...maybe for the worse?

I hope you guys don't get a good player in return. You guys will be first with the current line-up, so I hope the Lakers become worse than they are now. :p

I heard it was for Al Harrington and Adonal Foyle's bought out contract.

    A W's fan can dream can't he?

Ok, wild rumors huh? Well since we're bringing up this subject, I heard it was for Prince.

Do I have a vague reference at least? Yes but I don't like promoting other competitors. :[

    Maybe it's for Kwame Brown.

If Lamar is indeed traded...the one player I would like back is Prince.

Good defender, who can stretch the floor and overall a smart player.

Prince would be a good choice, especially for his defense.

Man! the Lakers are in a championship mode right now. There are only 3 reasons why i think the lakers traded lamar for Prince:
    1. Prince can defend LBJ, TMAC, Pierce and can block some shots (i.e. FTW block on turkoglu's dunk in the playoffs) which would leave the scoring to Kobe.
    2. Prince is a winner. He has a winner's mentality.
    3. Can shoot the 3 and knock down FT's consistently.

Good trade! (even though i have mixed feelings) Saves us some money too!

This is not true. Did anyone see the thread at Lakersground.net? It is the most shady rumor I've ever heard/read.

Well lol, I meant Prince is the player in question being discussed in this rumor. It isn't a rumor of Gerald Wallace for LO, almost all the talk is centered around Prince.

I personally have no idea how true this trade is or isn't.

You shouldn't be too surprised, everything off the top of their heads becomes a thread over there.

    Josh Smith.

Even on draft day, I was kinda hoping the Lakers would trade up to pick him. He's an athletic freak, a very good shotblocker (kinda like a LeBron on the defensive end), and he'll be playing his natural position, SF.

I wish it would be Josh Smith! I love Josh Smith, he's a great defender, fantastic shot blocker, can put up numbers more consistantly than odom, is younger, faster, more durable, passing is pretty good, all round player that would fit right into what we're doing here in Laker Land, experience wouldmaybe be a problem come playoff time, but look what he did against boston, he really pushed them, better than we did anyway, so that would be a hugely great aqusition, but too bad it wont happen since why in the hell would the hawks want to make that trade?
