I'm glad the Olympics are finally over. We leave the games with Pau, Kobe, and Sun healthy. All three impressed. Pau was one of the most impressive players in this year's basketball tournament, Kobe showed everyone why he's still the best in the world, stepping up and putting USA on his shoulders when they needed him the most, and Sun showed everyone that he does have some game, and may be a good player one day down the road. I'm just excited for the season to start now. Hopefully Pau gained some confidence with his play in this year's Olympics, and he'll play with some more aggression for the Lakers. Kobe won the GOLD, on his BIRTHDAY! Can't get any better than that. He'll get his pinky surgery soon, and rest up his body until the regular season starts (I don't think he'll play in preseason). I'm also interested in seeing how Sun Yue will perform in training camp. I wasn't very high on his before, but after the Olympics, I think we may be onto something...

Anyways, 3-time NBA champion, NBA MVP, 10-time Allstar and 2-time Allstar MVP, 8-time All-Defensive Selection, 10-time All-NBA Selection, NBA Slam Dunk Champion, 2-time scoring champion, 2nd highest scoring total in a single game, and now Olympic Gold Medalist:

It's great what he's been able to do these last few months (since All-Star break) with that finger, but I'm happy he can finally get surgery.

    Cool pics Yama/Brian.

Hope kobe's surgery would mean he finally shoots 50% throughout the season LOL

especially as he doesnt need to put up 30 or 40 a night anymore.

im predicting Kobe's stats will be around 26ppg, 5 rpg (if odom is traded for prince LOL), 7 apg, 49% FG, 1.5 spg

Im really excited what kobe comes into next like, you know how every season he's kind-of tweaked something about his physical status, or his game purhaps, he never stops improving, what will it be next season? Assists? Who Knows, but its exciting to think he'll be better than last year, especially with that gold medal under his belt, having all that experience, and carrying the wait of his countries hopes on his shoulders and coming through in the end, he'll definately be better.

Bynum is another one, whats he gonna be like with Pau? Im just really excited as i get to see them all play on jan 27th, when they play Bobcats!!! YES!!!
