Rockets acquire Strawberry

    Much of this article is from a Phoenix perspective, but this includes our team as well.

    Thoughts?

    My opinion is that DJ is a good offensive, young talent. But basically fills the same role as Aaron Brooks, both who are young and offensive-minded. So in a sense, this is a redudant thing, but with young players like DJ, or Singletary, having more is not a problem.

    My guess is he'll be cut from the team. Non-guaranteed contract.

    What about if he stays with the team...what is your opinion of him as a player?

    I think Head's better than him. Don't really see why they would keep him.

    Assuming we don't trade any key players, these guys are almost certain to make the team:

    1. Yao
    2. Mcgrady
    3. Artest
    4. Battier
    5. Scola
    6. Alston
    7. Head
    8. Battier
    9. Brooks
    10. Barry
    11. Dorsey
    12. Hayes
    13. Mutombo (*if resigned)
    14. Landry (*if resigned)

    So, in that last spot, Strawberry would have to beat out Francis and Mike Harris. I doubt that happens.
