LSU is demolishing Appy State 41-10. I guess that means Les Miles really isn't a Michigan man. VT is getting all they can handle from East Carolina. Could Skip be a better coach than his dad? The overrated Pitt Panthers (the Stache can recruit, but not coach) is only up 17-14 over Boring Green Penn State is Costal Carolina to the woodshed 45-7
Georgia is up 24-0 at the half over Georgia Southern Florida is taking it to the Rainbow Warriors 28-0 Wisconsin has the game zipped up over Akron 38-10 in the 4th
Great day for the WVU faithful so far as WVU is up 24-7 at the half over Nova and Utah is beating DickRod's Wolverines 22-10 at the half Wanny was Wanny and Pitt lost at home 27-17 USC is up 24-7 at Virginia Ohio State won, but lost Beanie Wells to a foot injury
What's "up" with Dick Rod? Jeez! Money well spent, Michigan! The Utes are pounding them! It's soooo quiet in Ann Arbor right now, almost like a funeral!
Tulsa crushed UAB on the road 45-22 Maryland only beat Delaware 14-7 at home TCU is up on New Mexico 16-0 on the road in the 2nd quarter BYU is up 14-3 on Northern Iowa in the 2nd quarter
opening weekend thoughts Who besides Mark May @ ESPN thinks Pitt is any good? They make it to the Fiesta Bowl, Hire Wanny, & struggled to make 6-6 last yr. DW could not execute in Chicago or S Florida. Now, how 'bout Bowling Green? What a putz! USC won shock. Florida won gasp. BYU scheduled a cupcake in hopes to bust the BCS yawn.
Re: opening weekend thoughts Unfortunately, they have enough talent that by the end of the season, the players will figure out what to do despite the coaching and they will manage to screw up the Big East standings.
Oklahoma is already up 14-0 in the 1st quarter on Chattanooga. Hopefully the Sooners destroy them and get over-confident for next weekend. South Florida is also up 14-0 in the 1st on Tennessee-Martin
Well, we are playing in this week's premier game, so I'm feeling excitement and nervousness. I've seen this before, so here's what I expect. We (and I say we because I paid enough money to be a we) will get off to a good start. There was plenty of time for the staff to prepare and there are a lot of veterans left - especially the skill players who handle the ball. The Clemson staff can prepare just as well as the Alabama staff and they probably have more to work with. But as the game continues, Saban will start to make adjustments, and that's where the Tide have the advantage. Clemson will take stupid penalties, fail to execute simple plays like extra points and punts, and give away any lead they accumulated and possibly more. Eventually we will right the ship and hopefully it won't be too late. If anything other than this scenario happens, I'll know things have changed. This is exactly how every big game has gone for the last five years.
BYU up 27-3 at the half Mississippi State is only up 7-3 on La Tech in the 2nd quarter South Florida put up 28 points in the 1st quarter Mississippi is up 21-7 on Memphis in the 2nd quarter
Sure! Harsh my buzz i.e the results in Ann Arbor. lol. FWIW; Breed em young 27 Kurt Warner's alma mater 3 still... early 3rd.
BYU just fumbled and the next play N Iowa got a 76 yd td pass off a double reverse. BYU 24 N Iowa 10... 12 min left 3rd qtr
If the coach is smart enough not to start a true freshman and put him in a position where everyone in the stadium knows he's getting the ball, that is.
The Alabama-Clemson game is tonight, correct? All I've got is the Mizzou-Illinois game (pretty good so far, these guys HATE each other and are really chippy after each play), and the Michigan St-Cal game. Then of course ASU-NAU
La Tech is beating Mississippi State 22-14 in the 4th Arkansas is only up 28-24 on Western Illinois with less than 2 minutes to go in the 4th Auburn is taking care of La Monroe 34-0 in the 4th Northern Illinois is beating Minnesota 27-24 in the 4th
Now for the big games Mizzou up 24-13 on Illinois in the 2nd quarter Bama up 23-3 on Clemson at the half
Oklahoma was up 50-0 on Tennessee-Chattanooga at halftime when lightning caused the game to be delayed
