The Spurs have had a lot of stopgap bigs like Rasho, Elson and Oberto who are solid but are just there to fill a very simple role.

Mahinmi is 21 and very athletic and has been learning from Tim Duncan for two years. He has to be the future for the Spurs.

Duncan could stay at an elite level for a few more years if he continues to reduce his minutes and takes a very conservative approach. If he is forced to play too many minutes because no one steps up, he will take a precipitous Jason Kidd-like plummet. He's showing a lot of signs of aging quickly just like Kidd was. The difference is that the Nets foolishly ignored it, never addressed it and lived in denial and the Spurs have recognized the issue and made it a priority to lighten Duncan's load.

I had a dream last night that someone picked a metal lobster-thing or something. But it was already picked.

    I don't know.

I'm pretty sure it was L that picked it the second time.

Yinets I don't know what you were trying to accomplish by posting a list of three players on the selection thread. I understand that you may be frustrated due to us coming down on you because you keep picking taken people, but that fault isn't on the people calling you on it, but rather yourself for not thoroughly checking.

Now to digress a bit, but in the 2nd draft, I really do appreciate you sending me a PM, for every round up til this past 7th round, of a list of like 15 people that you would like, but there are some problems with this.

    1) Like half of your picks are on that list are usually taken already, however your top 3 picks usually aren't but the other 12 are....
    2) If you have the time to PM me every round, why couldn't you just check the forums once a week or twice a week....doesn't hurt
    3) Integrity: This reflects poorly on me, because even I would understand any of the blame, but all these PMs to me makes it feel like I'm doing this draft for you, and to be honest there are other posters in the forum, like some people who signed up for the 2nd draft, but didn't get to be in the first one, who are consistent with picking and are usually on time, who probably are more dedicated to this.

I'm not trying to put you down, but all of this IS true. I'm still your Shanghainese friend Dai Lo. (unless you are younger than me..)

Dragic was a good pick. He has a chance to play good minutes on an excellent team.
